• **UPDATES**

In light of DCSD's decision to forego full competitive interscholastic sports at the middle level until after Spring break, we here at CMS wanted to be proactive about offering some alternatives to keep your son/daughter active and involved.

We are excited to announce that we have come up with a series of week long basketball camps for those that are interested. The great news is there is ZERO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. We simply are looking for student-athletes that have a positive mindset towards working hard, a willingness to learn from others, and a heart that is seeking to HAVE SOME FUN!!!

We've set up our camps to run Monday-Friday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and have a maximum number of 30 student--athletes per camp. Additionally, we've set up our camps so you have two different choices of weeks that might work for your family. Here is our current listing of what we're offering:
    • Jan. 25-29 (Monday-Friday) 7th/8th Girls Basketball Camp #1
    • Feb. 1-5 (Monday-Friday) 7th/8th Girls Basketball Camp #2
    • Feb. 22-26 (Monday-Friday) 7th.8th Boys Basketball Camp #1
    • March 1-5 (Monday-Friday) 7th/8th Boys Basketball Camp #2
Please note that this truly is a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE situation. Get into MySchooBucks and register ASAP as camp spots will fill up crazy fast. Thanks again for your support of not just CMS Athletics but of the truth that keeping our kids active and involved during this time is HUGE.

If you have any questions please reach out to our Athletics secretary, Steph Young, at stephanie.young@dcsdk12.org or our Athletic Director, Brad Wiidakas, at bpwiidakas@dcsdk12.org.

It is crucial that you understand that here at CMS, your son/daughter's safety is our highest priority. With that said, we wanted to share some key points about our detailed and specific approach to each of our sports seasons this year. The following are the COVID-19 guidelines as established in partnership with health officials and DCSD:
